Sixth in the list of British searches for travel in 2023 is Cyprus

In sixth place among the countries most searched for on the internet as a travel destination for 2023 by the British, Cyprus emerged, according to aggregated data shared by Google.

Greece was at the top of this list. Spain, Italy, Portugal and Croatia followed in order in the top five.

Behind Cyprus, Thailand, Egypt, Malta and Morocco close the top ten.

In the corresponding category of islands, Rhodes emerged as the most popular in the internet giant's well-known search engine. Sicily followed behind her.

In terms of the most popular cities, the corresponding first place was occupied by Orlando in the USA, ahead of Tel Aviv, Seville, Marrakech, La Rochelle in France, Delhi, Cork in Ireland and Amsterdam.

According to Google, in 2023 travel searches by Britons were the highest since 2019, the last full year before the pandemic.

It was also the third year with an increase in searches compared to the previous year in the relevant categories of flights, hotels and train tickets.
