The 53-year-old doctor is free with the fake vaccinations

The 53-year-old doctor, who was arrested on August 6, was released last night to facilitate the police investigation into the case under investigation for conspiracy to commit a crime, forgery of an official document, circulation of a forged document, securing false documents, causing bodily harm and for violations of the General Health System Law and transactions with agents that indicate corruption.

Information of KYPE from the Police states that the 53-year-old was released last night until the completion of the investigations and interrogations of TAE Larnaca.

It is recalled that the case saw the light of day on August 6, when - according to the Police - a citizen reported to the Larnaca Police Department that his son, who from July 31 and on that date was in the ICU of Famagusta in serious condition situation due to covid-19, allegedly confessed to medical and nursing staff of Famagusta Hospital that he had obtained a vaccination certificate against coronavirus, while he had not been vaccinated.

From examinations, the Police found, as reported by her, that the patient confessed to a doctor and nurses that he was not vaccinated. The complainant allegedly reported to the Police the doctor's details, that he is registered in the GESS as a personal doctor and it seems that he registered the specific patient in the OAY system as vaccinated.

According to the Police, a second patient, who was treated with coronavirus at the Famagusta Hospital, seems to have been vaccinated through the specific doctor, while it is said that he has not been vaccinated.

The 53-year-old suspect was taken on August 7 by the investigators of the case before the Larnaca District Court, which issued a detention order for seven days.

The order expired on August 14, when the suspect was taken back to the Court, which renewed his detention order for another five days.

As the investigator of the case stated before the Larnaca Court, requesting the renewal of the suspect's detention, until Saturday, August 14, 27 statements had been received, from the family and friendly environment of the two intubated patients, from nursing staff and ICU doctors of Amos Hospitals. Nicosia, the Pancyprian Medical Association, OAY and GESS.

A total of 47 people included in the list of 102 patients, who appear to have been vaccinated by the suspect, were also interrogated, while a bank disclosure order was secured, the results of which were not completed.

The investigators of the case had also secured a decree regarding the Law on the protection of the privacy of private communication and the suspect's mobile phone and laptop to be examined by the competent police service.

The preparations with liquid substance that were found in the home and in the doctor's office of the suspect had been sent to the General Chemist and the results are awaited.

The examiner of the case also stated before the Larnaca Court, in order to complete the investigations of the Police, there is a lack of sufficient investigative work and more specifically, about 44 testimonies would be taken from persons who seem to have been vaccinated by the suspect and are registered in the OAY list.

Testimonials were also expected to be taken from specific GESS doctors, who, after police examinations, had 20 people registered as patients after the start of the vaccination program by the personal doctors and who were registered with the suspect, while after for a short time, they were vaccinated by the 53-year-old.

It was also planned in collaboration with the Cyprus Institute of Genetics and Neurology, to perform blood tests from 14 people who gave their written testimony, in order to determine whether they were vaccinated or not.

It is noted that the investigations and investigations of the Police, face difficulties since, due to the coronavirus pandemic, several people who are on the list to testify are restricted because they either suffer from Covid-19, or are confirmed contacts.
