Before the General Prosecutor, the verdict on Thanasis

The General Prosecutor was handed the conclusion of the criminal investigators Savvas Matsa and Antonis Alexopoulos, regarding the death of the 26-year-old national guard Thanasis Nikolaou, who was found dead under the Alassa bridge in 2005.

The criminal investigators attribute responsibility to four former members of the Police and a citizen, who were involved in the investigation of the case at the time, with the most important being considered the fact that the conclusion shows an incomplete investigation and negligence by the Police, since important elements of the case were lost case over the years.

The gaps in the authorities' investigation are also shown by the fact that no telecommunication data was obtained, nor any important statements from persons who are currently considered suspects in the death of Thanasis.
