Before the Council of Ministers that will take place today (12/01) at 09:30 will be the suggestions of the experts that were decided in yesterday's meeting they had with the Minister of Health, Michalis Hadjipandelas.
At the center of yesterday's meeting, in addition to the epidemiological picture in our country and the situation in the hospitals, were once again the schools and the introduction of the Test to Stay model in an effort to remain open.
According to what the Minister of Health stated after the end of the meeting at the Ministry, the following suggestions will be transferred for approval:
* The introduction of the Test to Stay in schools, which provides for the continuous preventive tests (rapid test or Self test) by students and especially what is required after the detection of a case in the classroom.
* entry of fully vaccinated relatives in nursing homes with a negative 24-hour rapid test
At the same time, Mr. Hadjipandelas said that the football teams will be given one last chance, and if the fans do not follow the measures, then they will proceed with the closure of the stadiums.
During the meeting, there was no suggestion from epidemiologists for stricter measures, nor was there any suggestion regarding the non-vaccinated.
It is noted that when asked if there are thoughts for a 4th dose in Cyprus, a discussion that has already opened in Greece, he said that there was a suggestion by Dr. Petros Karagiannis for a 4th dose for the elderly.
As he said, he asked for more details and this issue is something that will be discussed in the coming days.
