In the last few days (Friday and Saturday) 886 checks were carried out by the Police throughout Cyprus. According to the Police, 35 premises were identified in violation of the Law on Infection, resulting in an equal number of complaints.
At the same time, the Minister of Justice, Emily Giolitis, after a communication she had with the Chief of Police, Stelios Papatheodorou, and requested more intensive controls for the observance of the decrees.
While in turn Mr. Papatheodorou gave clear instructions how to continue the coordinated and targeted control operations.
