An 11-year-old boy was found with crackers in a park

Cases of illegal possession of explosives are being investigated by the Police, after locating a number of crackers, fireworks, as well as explosives, in the possession of a 23-year-old and a 33-year-old. A number of crackers were also found in the possession of an 11-year-old boy, with the Police informing the father of the minor.

Shortly before 2.00 yesterday at noon, after information about the use of crackers by young people who were in a park in an area of ​​Limassol, members of the Police went to the spot, where in the possession of an 11-year-old boy, they located 23 crackers.

The father of the minor was called to the scene and was informed about it and received his child, while the crackers that were found were detained by the members of the Police for further examinations.

Later yesterday, around 7.20 pm, members of the Limassol Police Department conducted a search of the 23-year-old's residence, with a court warrant issued based on testimony for illegal possession of crackers and fireworks. A search of the home turned up 18 full rounds of ammunition and 46 rounds of ammunition.

The 23-year-old was arrested by the members of the Police for the spontaneous crime of illegal possession of explosives and was detained for the purpose of police investigations.

A case of possession of explosives is also being investigated against a 33-year-old man, in whose possession a number of torches were found.

The 33-year-old was stopped for inspection by members of the Limassol Police Department, around 7.45 last night, in an area of ​​Limassol, where he was driving his car. During a search of the vehicle, ten torches were found under the co-driver's seat, with the result that the 33-year-old was arrested for a self-inflicted crime.

After being interrogated and charged in writing, the 33-year-old was released, later last night, with the examinations continuing by the Germasogeia Police Station.
