Rain and strong winds are coming – The forecast until Good Friday

Low pressure affects the area.

Today, Holy Tuesday, there will be intermittent locally increased cloudiness which after noon may give isolated rains, without ruling out an isolated storm. Winds will be mainly southwest to northwest light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, but on the coasts moderate to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be slightly rough to rough. The temperature will rise to 21 degrees inland, around 20 on the south and east coasts, around 19 on the west and north coasts and 12 degrees in the higher mountains.

Tonight, locally increased clouds are expected to give local rain or even a storm, mainly on the coasts. Winds will be mainly southwest to northwest, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will gradually become generally a bit rough. The temperature will drop to 10 degrees inland, around 13 on the south and east coasts, around 14 on the west and north coasts and 2 degrees in the higher mountains, where frost is expected to form locally.

On Maundy Wednesday and Maundy Thursday, the weather will be partly cloudy and at times mainly cloudy with localized showers and isolated thunderstorms expected. On the highest peaks of Troodos it is possible that snow or sleet will fall. On Good Friday, the weather will be mostly clear, but at intervals there will be locally increased cloudiness, which in the afternoon and early afternoon may give isolated rains, in the mountains.

The temperature will not change appreciably until Good Thursday, remaining below average climatic values, while Good Friday will see a slight rise.
