Rescued an infant from Cyprus in the UK: "A foreigner did everything, he did not think about it at all"

A worker at a sampling center saved the life of a four-month-old baby originating from Cyprus, who suffered a seizure and his parents could not do anything about his condition.

The 34-year-old Cypriot, Michelle Cleanthous, who was positive for the coronavirus, went with her husband and their three children to take a test. Suddenly, however, four-month-old Christian suffered a seizure.

Immediately, the 34-year-old got out of the car, which was parked in a secluded spot of the sampling center, and started shouting for help. Then Roland Wilkerson, an employee, ran to the family and saved Christian's life. Then the mother with tears in her eyes expressed her gratitude to the rescuer of the baby, who was forced to limit himself due to his contact with a coronavirus case.

The Cypriot, speaking on the Metro page, said that "I knew that my son and I had coronavirus, as we had symptoms and we went for an examination. When I went to test Christian, I found that he had a seizure. I did not know what to do and started shouting for help, asking God to help us. My husband got out of the car and tried to call an ambulance. On the other side of the parking lot, someone came running, picked up the baby from the car and examined if he was breathing and if he was conscious. When I told him that Christian had a coronavirus, he replied that he did not care. "He did not leave the baby until the ambulance arrived."

The baby is now being treated for symptoms of coronavirus and meningitis.

The parents, speaking on the same medium, state that "There are no words to thank Roland. We were frozen by fear and panic and a stranger did everything, he did not think about it at all. He took control of the situation, made room for our baby and took care of it properly. He risked his health to help our son. He is a modern hero for us and we will be forever grateful to him ".
