The investigations of YKAN regarding the case of 6.5 kilos of cocaine that arrived at the port of Limassol, on May 24, 2022, are in full swing.
It is noted how the drugs arrived, camouflaged in boxes of stationery. Specifically, after an investigation, five packages were found and confiscated, containing cocaine, weighing a total of six kilos and 500 grams.
Authorities estimate that with the arrest of the 56-year-old, they dismantled a circuit of importing and channeling drugs on the island, which is active in Greece.
For the case, the authorities are expected to issue European arrest warrants, specifically against two people, who seem to be staying in Greece.
We remind you that after the police examinations that followed, a testimony was secured against the 56-year-old Greek, since he was the person who would receive the load with the white substance.
The 56-year-old was taken on Saturday (28/5), before the Limassol District Court where he was detained for eight days. The members of YKAN continue the investigations in order to find out and locate the final recipient of 6.5kg of cocaine.
