Murder in Nicosia: A person was interrogated - They are looking for answers in the autopsy

The body of a woman with head injuries from a sharp object was found in Nicosia on Tuesday afternoon. Police are investigating possible criminal activity.

The woman, who is believed to be in her 55s, has multiple head injuries and injuries caused by a sharp object, while efforts are being made to identify her.

According to statements on the front page of the Police press representative, Christos Andreou, a person has been interrogated this morning in the case to help with the examinations, but without anything emerging. Investigations are ongoing and various items of evidence have been collected from the scene

"An autopsy was performed by medical examiner Nikolas Charalambous. The prescribed autopsy will follow, where the causes of death will be ascertained."

According to statements made earlier by the Head of the TAE Nicosia, the Police were notified around 16.30:XNUMX p.m. on Tuesday by a citizen who was called to the building for work, who upon entering the building spotted the woman.

A resident of the area reported to Sigma that no one was visiting the particular house, while according to another testimony, a half-naked man was seen leaving the house in the last 24 hours.

It is estimated that the crime was committed some hours before the body was found.
