The headquarters of AXIK should be the free province of Famagusta, says the local PASYXE

The headquarters of the Cyprus Higher Technological Institute (AXIK) should be the free province of Famagusta, which pioneered the country's tourism development, according to the Pancyprian Hoteliers Association (PASYXE) of Famagusta.

In a written statement, PASYXE Famagusta expresses its absolute satisfaction for the signing of the cooperation protocol between the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth and the Cyprus University of Technology (TEPAK), which provides for the integration of AXIK in TEPAK. This important decision satisfies us unimaginably and we are sure that it will help improve the tourism industry and upgrade the tourism product of Cyprus ".

It is added that "PASYXE Famagusta and all the tourist organizations of the Province of Famagusta express the firm position that the headquarters of AXIK should be located in the free province of Famagusta which is the first tourist area of Cyprus with the huge contribution to the local economy. The free province of Famagusta was the first to start the tourist development, it gave a boost to the local economy ".

According to the announcement, "the free province of Famagusta has always claimed a university seat that would help in its further development and always, whenever there was a question of moving AXIK, it claimed it with strong documents and arguments. "Now is the time for the state to reward the province of Famagusta for what it has offered to the local economy and the development of the tourism industry."

PASYXE Famagusta assures all the competent bodies that he and the hotel industry in general "will fight for the realization of this goal and then every possible effort will be made to crown this integration, successfully".
