The seat belt prevented the injury of a 35-year-old driver

The use of the seat belt is believed to have prevented the injury of a woman driver of a car, which overturned off the road, yesterday afternoon, in Larnaca, according to a statement from the Police.

The 35-year-old was driving her car on Sunday afternoon on the Kofinou-Larnaca highway, where at a point on the road, at the height of the village of Klaudia, the vehicle deviated from its course and overturned off the road, on the ground.

Members of the Police rushed to the spot, while The intervention of members of the Fire Service was also needed to free the 35-year-old from the car.

An ambulance crew then transported her to Larnaca General Hospital, where she received first aid and after it was determined that she had not suffered any injuries, she was discharged.

From the examinations made at the scene and from the image of the car after its overturning, it is estimated that the seat belt protected the driver from possible serious injury.
