"Bells" € 9.000 in two bars, a supermarket and a kiosk for violation of measures

In the last 32 hours, the Police proceeded with complaints from 4 citizens and 24 premises, after 3.311 inspections carried out throughout Cyprus, in order to ascertain the observance and implementation of the decrees of the Law on Infection.

As a representative of the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters stated to KYPE, in Nicosia 1.732 inspections were carried out, which resulted in 15 complaints from citizens and 3 premises, while in Limassol 196 inspections were carried out, which resulted in 9 complaints from citizens and 1 property.

In Larnaca 568 inspections were carried out without complaints, in Paphos 157 inspections were carried out, which resulted in 2 complaints from citizens, in Famagusta 334 inspections were carried out and there were 6 complaints from citizens, while in the area of ​​Morphou 157 checks were carried out, without any complaint. Also, all over Cyprus, the Traffic Police carried out 145 checks, without any complaint. Finally, the Port Police carried out 22 checks without any complaint.

At 9.000 euros in total, the fines for the 4 premisesAs for the complaints of establishments, in Nicosia, they concerned the imposition of an out-of-court fine of 4.000 euros on a supermarket operator who allowed customers to pass without safepass. Also, in Nicosia, a brewery allowed a customer to enter without safepass , while in another case the owner of a nightclub allowed a customer to enter without safepass and the Police issued an out-of-court fine of 1.000 euros.

Finally, in the fourth complaint of an estate, which was in Limassol, an extrajudicial fine of 1.000 euros was imposed as the kiosk manager was serving customers without wearing a protective mask.
