The controls by the members of the Police for the implementation of the decrees and the observance of the measures, with the aim of dealing with the pandemic, continue at an intensive pace.
In the last 24 hours, 3,089 inspections were carried out by the Police throughout Cyprus, in order to verify the observance and implementation of the decrees of the Law on Infection.
It is reminded that, due to the continuous increase of positive cases, the checks by the members of the Police have been intensified especially in the places where a large number of people gather and in places where the possession of "safe pass" evidence is mandatory.
During the inspections, 46 complaints were made by citizens, the majority of which concerned the non-use of a protective mask.
At the same time, six owners / managers of premises (two in Nicosia, two in Limassol and two in Larnaca) were reported for various offenses related to the Infection Law.
Two cases of complaints of owners / managers of premises, concerned, non-possession of "safe pass" by customers and one non-possession by manager and employees. A total of € 2,500 was imposed on those in charge of the premises.
