The Police of the Cyprus Pediatric Society is in the hands of the Police, for transmitting false news on Social Media, regarding the death of a 12-year-old in Limassol, after being vaccinated with the coronavirus vaccine.
The case was taken over by the cybercrime sub-directorate of the Police Headquarters, following a complaint by the President of the Cyprus Pediatric Society and Secretary of the Medical Association, Michalis Anastasiadis.
The Police urges the public to be especially careful about such posts and not to spread false news, without prior notification from the official State Authorities.
The specific post has caused upset to the users of MKD, as it states that a 12-year-old child in Limassol died after being vaccinated, according to information that is "completely verified".
