A 42-year-old man is wanted for illegal possession of a hunting weapon and explosives

Without the required hunting licenses and possession of a shotgun and explosives, a co-driver of a vehicle was located in the Troodos area, however he managed to escape on foot and is now wanted by the Police.

The incident occurred yesterday at 14.30, when members of the Game and Fauna Service stopped for inspection, on a dirt road in the area of ​​Troodos, a vehicle driven by a 57-year-old man, with a 42-year-old co-driver.

During the inspection, it was found that the co-driver was holding a shotgun, which he claimed belonged to a friend, when it was found that he did not bring any licenses for possession or hunting license.

Under the circumstances under investigation, the 42-year-old managed to leave the place on foot, possessing a shotgun, while inside the vehicle was found a military backpack and a hunting vest, which contained a number of hunting cartridges. An arrest warrant has been issued against him and he is wanted.
