The "minimum wage setting" committee, which met again today to discuss setting a minimum wage in the occupied territories, decided unanimously that the net minimum wage amounts to 6.090 TL (approximately 388 euros) and the gross to 7.000 TL (approximately 446 euros) according to "Kypris Postasi", as broadcast by the Press and Information Office.
According to the newspaper, the employer side rejected the amount set as the minimum wage.
In statements after the meeting, The representative of the workers 'side and "president" of the "workers' federation" (Hür-İş), Ahmet Serdoγlu, stated that the minimum wage set will come into force after it is ratified by the "cabinet".
