The main topic of the Kypris newspaper today refers to the problems faced by foreign students in "primary and secondary education" in the occupied territories.
According to the GTP, the publication notes that there are currently approximately 1.000 elementary and high school students from 45 different countries who, as reported, speak neither English nor Turkish.
These students, who make up 7% of the total number of students in the occupied territories, face serious problems in terms of attending education, due to the inability of the "education system" to provide preparation programs for foreign language students.
In his statements on the matter, the president of the Turkish teachers' union, Burak Mavis, said that students from foreign countries cannot attend education, they face serious communication problems with teachers and the rest of their classmates, and they are essentially unable to receive the necessary educational knowledge in schools.
Mr. Mavis also deplores the fact that schools in the "TRNC," as the pseudo-state is referred to, are not multicultural schools, nor do they have the infrastructure to provide knowledge to foreign language students.
