The Department of Meteorology has issued a yellow warning for high temperatures.
The warning is in effect from 10:00 Sunday evening until 6:00 Monday evening.
The maximum temperature on Monday is expected to rise to around 40 degrees Celsius inland.

Today the weather will be mostly clear. Winds will blow mainly northeast to southeast weak to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, while from noon onwards they will gradually become mainly southwest to northwest, of the same intensity. The sea will generally be somewhat rough. The temperature will rise to around 40 degrees in the interior, around 36 in the south, east and north coasts, around 33 on the rest of the coasts and around 31 degrees in the higher mountains.
Tonight the weather will be mostly clear. Winds will initially be southwest to northwest, light and locally moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort to gradually become generally northwest to northeast, light 3 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to a little rough. The temperature will drop to around 26 degrees inland and on the south and east coasts, around 24 on the west and north coasts and around 19 degrees in the higher mountains.
On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, the weather will be mostly sunny.
The temperature will gradually rise slightly until Thursday, to remain above the average climatic values.
