Case in the province of Famagusta - All information

At 25, the cases of coronavirus in Cyprus were launched today.

According to the data from the Epidemiological Surveillance Unit of the Cyprus Ministry of Health, out of a total of 1850 laboratory diagnoses, 25 new cases of coronavirus were detected today.

The cases were identified as follows:

• Woman from Bulgaria who came to Cyprus on 25/7 with a negative test. She did the examination before being employed in a hotel unit in the Province of Famagusta, at the request of her employer.
• Special groups: 2 people who had symptoms and were referred by their Personal Doctor to Public Health Clinics.
• Flights: 1 person who came to Cyprus from Beirut
• Tracking: 9 contacts of the case of a woman from Ukraine announced on 28/7 in Limassol
• 5 contacts of yesterday's case who works in an insurance company in Limassol
• 1 contact from a case announced on 29/7 from Limassol
• 5 case contacts that had come from the USA

It is pointed out that 15 of the 20 people of the tracking, were scheduled for sampling in the Public Health Clinics as part of the tracking and had to remain in self-restraint, violated their quarantine to go to a private laboratory to do the test privately. This is a violation of protocols.

We remind you that based on the current data, the total number of positive cases amounted to 1114.

Seven people are being treated at the Famagusta General Hospital, the reference hospital, one of whom is in the Intensive Care Unit. The health condition of all six patients is stable.
