CYPRUS: 3 deaths and 2.987 new cases

The announcement of the Ministry of Health

The Ministry of Health announces that today, April 5 2022:

- They were announced 3 deaths

- Relate to:

  • A 96-year-old man who died on April 4
  • A 71-year-old woman who died on April 4
  • A 87-year-old woman who died on April 5

- Total number of deaths with final cause of the disease COVID-19: 949.

-       207 patients COVID-19 are hospitalized in OKYPY hospitals

-       30 in serious condition (ICU: 4 out of ventilator / 6 intubated, MAF: 20)

- Percentage of patients without a history of vaccination: 56,04%

-       13 Patients who have ceased to be infectious continue to be treated intubated for COVID in an Intensive Care Unit.

Diagnostic examinations:

- They took place in total 84.718 diagnostic examinations

- They were located 2.987 new cases (set of cases 446.999).

- Position rate in all exams 3,53%

Total number of molecular tests (PCR):

- They took place 3.429 molecular tests

- They emerged 287positive incidents

- Position of positivity 8,37%

Total number of rapid antigen detection tests (fastTest):

- They were carried out 81.289 rapid antigen detection tests

- They emerged 2.700 positive incidents

- Position of positivity 3,32%

Tracking:

- They were carried out 1.573 molecular tests and were detected 60 positive events (percentage of positivity 3,81%)

- They were carried out 567 rapid antigen detection tests and detected 50 positive events (percentage of positivity 8,82%)

Private initiative:

- They were carried out 1.107 molecular tests were identified 162 positive events (percentage of positivity 14,63%)

- They were carried out 31.476 rapid antigen detection tests were detected 1.779 positive events (percentage of positivity 5,65%)

Through the programs of the Ministry of Health were carried out 49.813 rapid antigen detection test. They were located 921 positive incidents.

- Sampling points: 13.470 rapid detection tests were detected 604 positive events (percentage of positivity 4,48%)

Education

- Primary Education: 18.691 rapid antigen detection tests were detected 98 positive events (percentage of positivity 0,52%)

- Secondary Education: 10.582 rapid detection tests were detected 61 positive events (percentage of positivity 0,58%)

- Test-to-Stay: performed 4.258 rapid antigen detection tests and detected 51 positive events (percentage of positivity 1,2%)

Other

- Nursing homes: conducted 1.283 rapid antigen detection tests were detected 51 positive events (percentage of positivity 3,98%)

- Closed structures: carried out 483 rapid antigen detection tests were detected new incidents (percentage of positivity 0,62%).

- Government Services: performed 479 rapid antigen detection tests and detected positive events (percentage of positivity 0,63%)
