The Ministry of Health announces that today, January 13 2022:
- 3 people died from the disease COVID-19, bringing the total number of deaths to 672.
- 259 patients COVID-19 of which 87 are in serious condition. 74,91% of patients do not have a history of vaccination.
- 18 post-COVID patients who have ceased to be infectious (declassified cases), continue to be hospitalized in intubated condition due to COVID in an Intensive Care Unit.
- A total of 122,016 disease detection tests have been performed by the molecular method (PCR) and the antigen rapid detection method (antigen rapid test).
- 3,103 (positivity rate: 2,54%) new cases of the disease COVID-19 detected by molecular tests (PCR) and antigen rapid test (antigen rapid test), raising the total number of cases in 218,374.

A. Deaths from the disease COVID-19:
The 3 people who died with the ultimate cause of death being attributed to the disease COVID-19, relate to:
- An 86-year-old man who died on January 13 at the Limassol General Hospital.
- An 89-year-old man who died on January 13 at Larnaca General Hospital.
- A man, 86 years old, who ended up on January 12 at the General Hospital of Famagusta.
Therefore, the total number of deaths with the ultimate cause of the disease COVID-19 amounts to 672, of which:
422 men (62,8%), and
- 250 women (37,2%).
The average age of those who die from the disease is 76 years.
B. Patients:
In total, 259 patients of the disease are treated in the hospitals of OKYPY COVID-19, of which 87 in serious condition or in MAF conditions.
Of the 87 patients in serious condition, 29 are intubated, 4 are admitted to an intravenous intensive care unit and 54 to an intensive care unit.
