A 29-year-old man was arrested yesterday with a court warrant and detained, to facilitate investigations into an investigated case of forgery and offenses in violation of the Law on Protection against the processing of personal data.
According to the Police, the case was reported to the Police yesterday, by a 25-year-old resident of Paphos. According to the complainant, between the months of October and December 2020, she had sent her personal photos, through a social networking platform, to the account of another user of the same platform, to later find out that the specific account was fake.
A police examination provided evidence against the 29-year-old, on the basis of which an arrest warrant was issued against him, under which he was arrested.
