The Ministry of Health announces that today, December 17, 2020:
- 115 patients COVID-19 25 of whom are in serious condition.
- A total of 11,518 disease detection tests have been performed, of which 3,750 by the molecular method (PCR) and 7,768 by the rapid antigen detection method (rapid test).
- 457 new cases of the disease were identified and confirmed by molecular tests (PCR), raising the total number of cases at 16,647. The 457 include 151 verifications from rapid tests of the previous days.
- In 240 cases from the rapid antigen test (rapid test) there was a positive result, which should be verified by the molecular method (PCR).

A. Patients:
In total, 115 patients of the disease are treated in the hospitals of OKYPY COVID-19, of which 25 in serious condition.
Of the 25 patients who are critical, 12 are intubated, two are hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit and 11 in the Intensive Care Unit.

B. Molecular Test (PCR test)
Of the 3,750 laboratory diagnoses performed today by the molecular method (PCR), 457 cases of the disease were identified and verified COVID-19, which emerged as follows:

C. Rapid antigen detection test (antigens fast test): From the 7,768 tests performed with the method of rapid antigen detection (rapid test), 240 positive results were obtained.
These 240 cases will be examined by the molecular PCR method, in order to be verified.
