Cyprus: They set fire to an entertainment center - What a closed circuit recorded

Malicious action is attributed at first sight to the fire that broke out shortly before 07:00 this morning, in a nightclub in Kato Paphos after movements recorded by a closed circuit, according to the Spokesman of the Paphos Police Department and its official TAE Paphos, Michalis Nikolaou.

According to Mr. Nikolaou, the fire broke out at 06:45.

From preliminary examinations and from images recorded by closed-circuit monitoring, he added, it appears that a person is approaching from the outside of the building from the outside and then injecting flammable material through pipes.

The fire caused extensive damage to the center but was not completely destroyed.

Members of TAE Paphos and Paphos Assistant Police Director Michalis Ioannou have gone to the scene for further examinations. Various items were taken from the scene in order to locate the perpetrators.

Investigations by the Paphos Crime Detection Department continue.
