Six foreigners lived in the two-storey house that collapsed in the early hours of the morning in Aradippou. An announcement of the Fire Service states that at 01.40 a call was received for possible trapped people after the collapse of part of a brick-built, two-storey house in Aradippou.

The Larnaca Fire Station responded to Lieutenant Andreas Papadopoulos with a team and a rescue vehicle. Upon arrival, the rescue team began searching the wreckage of the house.

It is reported that the Fire Service had come in direct contact with the owner of the two-storey, brick house, who stated that 6 foreigners lived in the house in question.

In cooperation with the Police, the Fire Service "started to determine whether or not the occupants were inside the house and it became clear that there were no people inside the house at that time".
