Paphos Police are investigating two cases of illegal transport of assembled hunting firearms in two vehicles against two hunters aged 38 and 40, in the area of the community of Agios Nikolaos.
According to a representative of the Paphos police department, yesterday at 10:30 in the village of Agios Nikolaos, two vehicles were stopped at the same time by members of the Thera Service.
The 38-year-old driver was issued an extrajudicial fine of 500 euros as he was transporting his shotgun assembled and loaded and the second driver, aged 40, was fined 150 euros for transporting his shotgun mounted inside the vehicle.
The two hunters were transferred to the Panagia police station until their extrajudicial repayment was repaid by their owners.
