In the last 141 hours, the Police proceeded with 24 complaints of citizens and two establishments for violation of the measures against the spread of the coronavirus.
According to a representative of the force's communications sector, the Police carried out a total of 10.923 checks across Cyprus. The complaints of the two establishments concerned Nicosia and in particular a pub with patrons inside and a gym that operated with more people based on its area.
In Nicosia, 2.121 inspections were carried out with 39 complaints from citizens and two premises, in Limassol 4.372 with complaints from 63 citizens, while in Larnaca 17 citizens were reported after 1.190 inspections.
In Paphos, the Police carried out 1.234 checks and 18 citizens were reported, and in Morfou, 1 citizen was reported after 769 checks. It is noted that the Police did not provide information on checks and complaints in the province of Famagusta.
The Traffic Police carried out 1.172 inspections, making 3 complaints to citizens, while the MMAD and the Port Police carried out 6 and 59 inspections respectively, without any complaints.
