The Ministry of Tourism, after the approval of the Council of Ministers, announces the extension of the duration of the Domestic Tourism Support Plan for the period from June 1, 2021 to November 30, 2021, excluding the months of July and August.
As it is known, the Plan is addressed to permanent residents of Cyprus and aims, first of all, at encouraging the realization of holidays in Cyprus, through:
(a) the provision of affordable prices by tourist accommodation;
(b) the granting of part of the cost of accommodation to the citizens who will use it.
It is noted that this is the third extension of the Plan decided by the Council of Ministers, as this was deemed particularly beneficial for the tourism industry as a whole and consequently the economy and society of the country in general.
The Plan includes Tourist Accommodations (Hotels, Organized Apartments, Tourist Villages, Agritourism Accommodations), which offer for the whole period the maximum price of 60 euros with breakfast for a double room per night.
In addition, the Plan provides for the coverage of 35% of the cost of accommodation, including child charges, by the State Department.
The two nights are set as the minimum stay for the use of the above prices.
For holidays throughout beautiful Cyprus, the public can contact directly the tourist accommodation of their choice or the tourist offices to make a reservation.
