A vehicle was engulfed in flames in Nicosia in the early hours of Friday.
According to the Fire Service, at 03.44 a call was received for a fire in an OPEL vehicle, which was parked in a house parking lot, in Lakatamia.
Members of the Police and the Fire Brigade from the Lakatamia Fire Station responded with two fire trucks and the fire was brought under control on 04.17. The vehicle was extensively damaged by the fire.
The heat also affected a BMW vehicle parked near the fire truck.
A third VOLVO vehicle was also slightly damaged, as well as air conditioning equipment and part of the house coating. The causes of the fire will be investigated later today, in cooperation with the Police.
