According to the latest information received today by the Ministry of Health from the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics, seven new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed.
Specifically, these are:
Five people who are under house arrest and had close contact with two confirmed cases that had been identified in the previous days. They were examined in the context of tracing the confirmed cases.
- A person who was treated at the Limassol General Hospital.
- A person who had recently traveled from the United Kingdom, was under house arrest, and contacted the competent authorities when he developed symptoms.
The Epidemiological Surveillance Unit of the Ministry of Health has already started tracking the contacts and the seven cases and will proceed to take samples for specialized examinations.
The following are noted:
There are no other data on patients at the moment (ages, gender, cities, where they came from in Cyprus, etc.) other than those mentioned in the announcement.
The five cases that are close contacts of confirmed cases are NOT doctor contacts, but they are the family of the two brothers in Larnaca (one was confirmed yesterday and the other today).
