He had parked the car in the area, leaving the keys in the engine starter.

The Police, in order to prevent similar incidents of theft, addresses recommendations to the public, owners and responsible drivers of vehicles, such as by parking their vehicle, even in case of a short stop, to remove the keys, to close the windows completely, and to the vehicle is locked.
