Matsakis: Innocents were sent to prison and guilty have been acquitted (VIDEO)

A reversal of data seems to have brought the conclusion of Hara Spiliopoulou, regarding the death of 28-year-old Lesia Bikova, who was found dead in Petra tou Romiou.

It is recalled that the 31-year-old man who was arrested as a suspect in her death was released last Friday after Spiliopoulou's conclusion found no evidence of any criminal activity.

Speaking to Protoselidos, the medical examiner Marios Matsakis stated that the charge against the 31-year-old was not for attempted murder but for murder and rape. “That means he would definitely have been sentenced to life. I am sure that they have led the innocent to prison and that the guilty have been acquitted.

I have repeatedly raised the issue of forensics and its problems, but nothing is done. I'm tired of saying the same things, even the legislation is from the 40s and needs to be changed. Unfortunately, things do not change, here is Cyprus, here is the Republic of the banana tree, monkeys live in the banana tree and they are not interested in changing things" said Mr. Matsakis.

Referring to Ms. Spiliopoulou's conclusion, he said that "it took 13 days for the police to have a safe conclusion. They brought a professor from abroad to inspect the body and this professor did 9 days, I gave them in the first 5 minutes of the inspection and one wonders how a university professor can do 9 days to give a finding of strangulation which is a simple forensic matter".

He emphasized that forensics needs supervision, "here in Cyprus the practice of forensics is not subject to control, there is no quality control. Nobody wants to be controlled, they want to practice their specialty as they want, even if nobody dies inside - inside you are not bored. They feed us bananas because they think we're monkeys."
