The 18-year-old soldier who shot and killed a dog regrets it

The 18-year-old national guard, who was arrested today for killing his neighbor's dog and injuring a second, with a shotgun, told police investigators he regretted his act.

According to the Police, the young man is expected to be charged in writing and to be released later, as it was found that he has not reached the age of 18 and is considered a minor.

The case was reported on Monday night by a 61-year-old resident of a village in Limassol province, according to which he heard a shot outside his house and then saw his 18-year-old neighbor pointing to the ground with a shotgun and shooting twice.

The 61-year-old located his two dogs injured and transported them to his home, where one succumbed to his injuries.

An arrest warrant was issued against the 18-year-old national guard, which was executed with the help of the army, after it was found that he returned to his unit that night.
