Morphou Diocese: No private guards were hired to protect Morfos Neophytos

The Holy Diocese of Morphou says that "it never hired private guards to protect the Metropolitan of Morphou, Neophytos". In a statement, the Diocese refutes a relevant article in the newspaper "Politi" according to which "the appearance of the Metropolitan in court was accompanied by 40 police officers and members of a security company hired by the diocese."

On the occasion of today's publication in the newspaper "Politis", entitled "Morphou Neophytos - In court after guards and anti-vaccinators" the Diocese of Morphou issued a statement stating that "it never hired private guards to protect the Metropolitan and therefore we categorically deny we hope that the newspaper Politis will proceed with a remedy as soon as possible ".

He adds that this post "is even reproduced by websites".

"We consider in good faith that the article could be considered a product of the author's misinformation and to restore the truth, we inform the readers of this text that the Holy Metropolis of Morphou" never hired private guards to protect the Metropolitan of Morphou, Neophytos ".
