Abvakum Monastery: Complaint of sexual harassment by a monk

A new complaint against a monk of the Holy Monastery of St. Avvakoum, in Fterikoudi, was submitted to the Police and to the unit that deals with the investigation of incidents of abuse of vulnerable persons.

According to reports, the person who allegedly received the harassment self-reported, which is being investigated.

As the RIK reports, this is an incident of sexual harassment by a monk to a person formerly associated with the Monastery.

Today's publication of Phileleftheros states that the person in question sent a letter about the incident to the Holy Synod. In the same publication of the newspaper, there is also a reaction from the side of the monks, whose representative told the newspaper, "where we have arrived, we cannot rule out seeing anything to hurt the two archimandrites".
