Adriana Mocanu, 53 years old, from Romania, a permanent resident of Paphos, died in a new fatal road collision, which occurred early today in Paphos.
The collision happened around 1.35am. today, at the intersection of Grigori Auxentiou Street, with Neophytou Nikolaidi Avenue, in Paphos. Under circumstances that are being investigated by the Police, a car driven by a 53-year-old resident of Paphos collided with a car driven by a 31-year-old also resident of Paphos. A 31-year-old woman was also in the 29-year-old's vehicle, as well as Adriana Mocanu.
Mocanu, the 29-year-old woman and the 53-year-old driver of the first vehicle were injured in the collision. They were taken to Paphos General Hospital, where Mocanu was pronounced dead. The other two women suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospital.
The drivers of the two vehicles were tested for alcohol, with negative results.
The causes of the new collision are being investigated by the Paphos Traffic Police.
