In a fatal road collision that occurred shortly after midnight in Nicosia, Kyriakos Oxynos, 24 years old from Engomi, lost his life.
The fatal collision occurred ten minutes after midnight, when a car driven by the 24-year-old, on Griva Digeni Avenue, at some point of the avenue (opposite Metohiou Kykkos), under circumstances that are being investigated, deviated from its course, partially climbed the dividing island of the road and then crashed into an adjacent tree.
As a result of the road collision, the young driver was critically injured, who was extricated by members of the Fire Service.
He was then taken by ambulance to Nicosia General Hospital, where shortly before three in the morning, he succumbed to his injuries.
