Nigerian man broke down the door of the Welfare Department - He demanded his check

A 23-year-old man was taken into custody in Paphos for causing damage to the door of the Welfare Office and causing concern.

According to the Press Spokesperson of ADE Paphos and Head of TAE Paphos Michalis Nikolaou on 19.9.22 at 11:00 it was reported by an employee of the Welfare Office that a person from Nigeria aged 23 was there and demanded to be given his check.

However, despite the explanations given to him regarding the procedure, he reacted by shouting and violently kicked the door, resulting in damage of one hundred euros.

An arrest warrant was issued against the 23-year-old, he was arrested on Monday at 18:00 in the afternoon and is in custody.
