He was driving under the influence of drugs - 20-year-old driver handcuffed

The Paphos Police carried out a coordinated operation to prevent road collisions, in the context of which a driver was found to be driving under the influence of drugs, while another 23 complaints were made regarding minor traffic violations.

According to the Police, at 22:45 on Tuesday, team "Z" of the Paphos Traffic Police stopped a vehicle with a 20-year-old driver for a check.

He had a positive result in a drug test. An additional sample was sent to the State General Chemistry for further laboratory tests. The 20-year-old is expected to be charged in writing at a later stage upon receipt of the result.

Also, during the vehicle checks of 75 vehicles stopped in a twenty-four hour period by the Police, a total of 24 traffic complaints arose.

The coordinated operations of the Police to prevent road conflicts continue.
