Our moving prayers for the International Day of Prayer for People with Autism

"Please, my God, give health, courage, strength and patience to these parents, to these sleepless guards with the endless pool of love. Their pain is great, every day, a stormy sea.

It hurts that their own child will never have the same opportunities in their life as the other children in the world. But their dumbest and deepest pain is where their child will find another hug to nest when they are no longer alive. Send thousands of hugs, make the whole universe embrace them, stop hurting and always smile.

But I know, God, that if they ask you, you will tell them, you are the most blessed, because the angels, who most often have a human form, are yours at home! "

On the second Sunday of every February, churches of various denominations and denominations pray for the thousands of our fellow human beings around the world who suffer from autism.

It started as "Autism Week" in 2002 in Great Britain, at the initiative of the couple Koria (their son suffered from autism) and gradually began to spread to other countries around the world.

Autism…

It is a developmental disorder that prevents the child from properly understanding what he sees, hears and feels. As a result, the child has problems in communication, social contact, interpersonal relationships and behavior. The severity of autism symptoms varies from child to child. The symptoms of autism usually appear before the age of three.

In fact, no one knows the causes of autism. Most experts say that autism is probably caused by a combination of genetic and environmental factors.

Autism was first diagnosed in 1943 by American-Austrian psychiatrist Leo Kanner at Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore. At the same time, the Austrian pediatrician Hans Asperger described a milder form of the disorder known as Asperger Syndrome.
