Eight-day detention for two people for the murder in Engomi

Two people, aged 36 and 25, were detained for eight days, as part of the investigation into the premeditated murder of their 28-year-old compatriot, in Engomi.

Around 10 last night, information was received by the Police about an injured person in an area of ​​Nicosia.

Police members immediately went to the scene, where they located the 28-year-old, who was unconscious and had back injuries. Upon the arrival of the ambulance and medical examiner, his death was confirmed.

To facilitate the investigations, two persons were arrested with court orders and placed in 8-day detention.
