With the expression of concern for the increase of the new cases of coronavirus in the community and especially for the emerging transmission chain in Limassol, the meeting ended at the Presidential Palace, under the President of the Republic with the epidemiological team.

According to KYPE, the meeting expressed concern about the increase in cases, especially in Limassol, but also determination to strengthen protection measures.

No statement was made after the meeting. At 12:30 the Minister of Health Konstantinos Ioannou will give a press conference to announce the decisions that have been taken.

In addition to the Minister of Health, the Minister of Finance Konstantinos Petridis, the Minister of Interior Nikos Nouris, the Minister of Transport Giannis Karousos, the Minister of Justice Emily Giolitis and the Deputy Minister of Tourism Savvas Perdios also participated in the meeting.
