Onoufrios Koullas: After 13 months of pandemic, we can still support employees, unemployed, businesses, the self-employed

The additional budget, amounting to 250 million, submitted by the Ministry of Finance, was discussed on Monday by the Finance Committee of the House of Representatives.

In a statement, DISY Famagusta MP Onoufrios Koullas stated:

"After 13 months of pandemic, we can still support the working people, the unemployed, businesses and the self-employed.

At the same time, an additional 60 million are allocated to the Ministry of Health to deal with the pandemic. What I want to remind our fellow citizens is that some people made sure that these resistances existed, that these budgetary possibilities existed.

That was the hard work. The easy thing, that is, to simply ask for more, is the job of the opposition. In fact, AKEL-DIKO, which did not vote on the budget, are constantly asking for more.

In difficult times, however, it is the actions that count, not the words. ”
