Paphos: A public prosecutor's vehicle was burnt to the ground

A fire broke out on Tuesday night, specifically around 21:30, in a car belonging to a 50-year-old Public Prosecutor of the Paphos District Court, according to Paphos Assistant Police Director of Operations Michalis Nikolaou.

Mr. Nikolaou stated that the car was parked in the parking lot of the apartment building where the Public Prosecutor lives in Paphos.

The fire, he added, was extinguished by the Fire Service.

The vehicle was completely destroyed, while extensive damage was caused to two other cars parked next to the first one.

The scene remains cordoned off under police guard for daylight examinations.

At first glance, it appears that the fire was set maliciously, concluded Mr. Nikolaou.

It should be noted that this is the second fire that the Public Prosecutor in Paphos has been attacked. The previous bombing took place on December 20.
