An elderly woman was mistaken for an 8-year-old - "Typographical error" says the Ministry of Health

The Ministry of Health issued an announcement clarifying the wrong information about the death of an 8-year-old girl from influenza A.

Specifically, with regard to the above issue and after further investigation of the information that was made public yesterday, the Ministry of Health clarifies through an announcement that there was no death of an eight-year-old child from type A influenza.

"The incident in question concerns an elderly person, who was admitted to G.N. Limassol on 15/2/2023 and died 10 days later", it says.

He also notes that the incorrect information arose due to a typographical error in the Ministry of Health database.
