Fine of 4.000 euros in a supermarket for non-compliance with distances from customers

As a representative of the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters stated to KYPE, In Nicosia, 1.579 inspections were carried out, out of which 11 complaints were made by citizens, while in Limassol, 241 inspections were carried out, out of which 10 complaints were made by citizens and 2 premises.

In Larnaca 477 inspections were carried out and there were 3 complaints of citizens, in Paphos 215 inspections were carried out, from which 3 complaints of citizens emerged, in Famagusta 241 inspections were carried out and there were 3 complaints of citizens, while in Morfos area 101 inspections were carried out and there were no complaints.

Also, all over Cyprus, the Traffic Police carried out 137 inspections, without any complaint.

Also, there were no complaints in 36 checks carried out by the Port and Maritime Police.

One complaint of an establishment concerned a supermarket in which a fine of 4.000 euros was imposed for non-compliance with the distances of its customers and the second complaint concerned a restaurant which was fined 650 euros because its customer did not have Safepass.
