The Fire Service was alerted in the early hours of Wednesday (13/7), in Nicosia.
According to information from the Police, around 03:50 in the morning, information was received about a fire in a vehicle, which was parked on the side of the road in the Strovolos area.
Members of the police force rushed to the scene as well as two fire engines where they extinguished the fire.
From the examinations, which were carried out by the TAE of Nicosia and the Fire Department, it was established that this was a malicious act.
The vehicle, which belongs to a 58-year-old Greek Cypriot woman, suffered extensive damage, amounting to 4.000 euros.
The 58-year-old is expected to give a statement to the investigators of the case in an attempt to identify the perpetrator or perpetrators.
