Uproar in Pancypriots – Professor leaked issues of New Greek

Disruption prevailed shortly before the start of the four-month exams due to the leakage of the New Greek subjects from a teacher to her students.

Specifically, the President of OELMEK, Kostas Hatzisavvas, confirmed to SigmaLive that a private school teacher sent sms in the morning to her students about New Greek subjects.

OELMEK immediately contacted the Ministry of Education and reported the incident. According to the same information, his investigation by the Ministry began immediately.

It is recalled that the four-month exams in high schools and high schools began today. The XNUMXrd Lyceum begins with the New Greek course, while the students of the XNUMXnd Lyceum are examined in Physics, Economics and Art Subjects.

The 27st Lyceum starts tomorrow, Tuesday, with the New Greek course. The examination period for high schools is expected to end on January XNUMX.

The 24st year of high school begins with the course of New Greek, the XNUMXnd year of high school with Mathematics and the XNUMXrd year of High School with Chemistry-Biology. High schools are expected to complete the examination period on January XNUMX.

The written assessment constitutes 40% of the total score of each course, while the remaining 60% is made up of oral assessment, which takes into account the students' participation in the daily tasks of the course, homework, written cautioned exercises, individual or creative group work and discrimination activities relevant to the lesson.

The single written assessment at the end of the Quarters lasts 90 minutes, with the possibility of an extension for students who benefit from facilities. The New Greek course and the Language courses are excluded, in which the duration of the exam will be 135 minutes.

During the period when the uniform written evaluations are carried out in the examined courses, no courses are held.

The issue of the four-month exams is dividing the education community, with teacher, student and parent organizations expressing disagreement over their implementation.

Speaking at Trito, the Minister of Education Prodromos Prodromou assured that the necessary preparations have been made for the smooth conduct of the exams.

Commenting on the reactions to the institution of four months, Mr. Prodromou said that studies and measurements by experts preceded it and indicated that now the material is divided into two and there is uniformity in teaching, on a pan-Cypriot scale.

However, Mr. Prodromou pointed out that the results of the examinations are being evaluated, in order to draw conclusions and make the necessary adjustments, after a dialogue with all those involved.
