A 70-year-old resident of Nicosia, who was injured in a road accident that took place yesterday in the province of Larnaca, is being treated at the Nicosia General Hospital in serious condition.
A statement from the Communications Office of the Police Headquarters states that "under the circumstances under investigation, a car driven by a 35-year-old man, around 2 yesterday at noon on the road Agia Anna - Psevda, dragged and injured a 70-year-old man, who was trying to cross pedestrian street ".
It is added that "the 70-year-old was injured and taken to Larnaca General Hospital and examinations revealed that he suffered a fracture of his right leg and bleeding in the brain. Due to the seriousness of his condition, he was admitted to the General Hospital of Nicosia, where he underwent surgery and was kept for treatment, intubated in the Intensive Care Unit ".
The case is being investigated by the Kofinou Police Station.
